THE REAL PRESENCE PROJECT

Family Prayer Night
FPN
Parish Family Prayer Night Devotions are weekly liturgical or para-liturgical services that include family-led prayers before the Most Holy Blessed Sacrament, and are lay organized and maintained.

They are led by the lay faithful in response to Pope John Paul II’s request for family to family assistance in the spirit of The New Evangelization, when he said: “Prayer must become the dominant element...in the Church: prayer by the family, prayer for the family, and prayer with the family.”

We provide a free booklet on How to Start Family Prayer Night Devotions in your parish community. In it, you will find everything you need to get started.

Jesus the Divine Mercy told Saint Faustina Kowalska that He is ready to forgive even the gravest sins if only you ask for His forgiveness and mercy. He then instructed her to have this image painted with an inscription at the bottom saying, "Jesus, I Trust in You!"

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Protectress of the Unborn, put an end to human sacrifice in Mexico and converted 8 million hearts to the Gospel of Life. Through her intercession and the prayers of our children, we believe that human sacrifice by means of abortion can also be eliminated throughout the Americas and the world.

Communitas Dei Patris

On Pilgrimage To The House Of The Father (and proud sponsors of FamilyPrayerNight.org)
Communitas Dei Patris

“The history of mankind, the history of salvation passes by way of the family. The family is placed at the center of the great struggle between good and evil, between life and death, between love and all that is opposed to love. To the family is entrusted the task of striving, first and foremost, to unleash the forces of good, the source of which is found in Christ, the Redeemer of Man” (Letter To Families #23, Saint Pope John Paul The Great).

Who We Are

Communitas Dei Patris (the Latin pronunciation is: Cŏm-ŭn-ē-tăs Dā-ē Pă-trēs) is an Association of Faithful Catholics in the Roman Catholic Tradition; we draw our life-breath from the Church, in the Church, and with the Church by actively participating in her liturgical prayer and sacramental life under the guidance of the Blessed Mother. Like the early Church, we are a pilgrim people made up of families and individuals who support one another in living the fullness of the Catholic Faith as we journey home to our heavenly Father.

Members can be young or old, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, single, or married with or without children, grandparents, priests, or religious.

What We Do

Our primary mission within The New Evangelization is to help bring spiritual revival to families by means of the sacramental graces of the Church. We carry out this mission by joyfully establishing weekly Family Prayer Night Devotions and Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration within our own parish communities as a means to foster and support daily prayer in the home; and by assisting parents and families in providing authentic Family Chastity Formation within the home. Through a renewal of daily family prayer, chastity formation within the family, and family associations which live, promote, and defend the Catholic way of life, the new evangelization will bear good fruit locally and eventually lead to a new springtime within the Universal Church.

GREEN BAY — Many of the faces have changed and recently, the day of the week changed, but over the past 25 years, the mission of Family Prayer Night at St. Agnes Church has remained the same. The weekly gathering provides a vehicle to spend time with the Lord in a prayer-rich environment.

Family Prayer Night’s origin dates back to October of 1990 when a group of people wanted to pray together and continue a special devotion to the Blessed Mother.
